AWF are seeking someone to assist our busy engineering client based in Invercargill, our client is a leading seller of farm machinery implements.

This role will be based around their used machinery and will involve a huge variety of different tasks depending on what is needed with each machine, this means you'll be able to use the skills you already have and also learn new things as you work.

With a really supportive team of machinery experts you will be in safe hands if there are aspects you're unsure of, we're not expecting you to be an expert straight away however we need someone who's mechanically minded and is a capable welder.

You will be required to undertake a variety of repair tasks such as; welding, grinding, bending, machining, painting and wiring. The machinery is quite large and the parts can be heavy so some level of physical strength is required and as this is used machinery if you're afraid of getting a bit dirty then this role is not for you.

This role is temporary in nature however there is potential for it to become permanent for the right person.

About you;

To be successful in this role you'll have some mechanical aptitude and be capable welding. You'll be willing to listen and learn on the job and not afraid to give new things a go.

You'll be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kgs and not afraid to get your hands dirty. Most of all you'll be a great team player the machines are large and sometimes you'll work together with other engineering team members to achieve deadlines and to make the work safer.

As you'll be working with our clients customers from time to time you'll be professional and capable of working with the public.

In addition to the above you will also need the following;

- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; ACC, criminal history and fitness for work

- A minimum of restricted New Zealand Drivers Licence (full preferred)

- A current CV with contactable references
