AWF are looking for someone to assist our client in their engineering workshop which focuses on farm machinery.
We're looking for someone who's great at working with others and is looking to develop new skills through listening and taking direction from their team of engineers and mechanics. A great attitude is a must as is a willingness to get stuck in and do what needs to be done whether that be grinding, degreasing or any other workshop related tasks that are required.
Our client has a number of high level engineers and they believe in giving people and opportuntity to learn and this is their chance to give back to the industry and help build further experts for the heavy engineering feild.
They are after someone with the right attitude who will fit seamlessly into their team.
Full training will be provided over a period of time which will dependant on incoming skillset. This is a role for those who're mechanically minded and who aren't afraid of dirty work as the machinery is both new and used.
This is a long term full time opportunity and there may be a permanent position provided you're the right fit for their business.
The ideal candidate;
The ideal candidate is someone who has had exposure to machinery in the past, a pre-trade qualification in engineering would be an advantage.
You will be physically strong and a hard worker who believes in doing things right the first time, you will be a good listener and capable of getting along with a variety of people.
You will be professional in your appearance as you will be interacting with our clients customers from time to time.
In addition to this to be successful in your application for this role you will need the following;
- A minimum Restricted New Zealand Drivers License, a forklift license would be advantageous
- The ability to pass pre-employment checks, including criminal history and drug screening
- The right to work in New Zealand and relevent documentation to prove it
- A current CV with atleast 2 work references
