AWF are recruiting for a registered Electrician to work as an Electrical Engineer / Technician at our clients land based plant to assist in electrical engineering research, design, manufacture, assembly, construction, operation and maintenance of equipment, facilities and distribution systems.


Please note, this site services Shellfish operation.

This is a full-time role, rostered, with a minimum of 40hrs each week.

You will work within a diverse and constantly changing operational environment to install, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment including but not limited to 3 phase motors, pneumatic, and hydraulics. You will be part of a small but highly skilled team who strive to deliver a high standard of workmanship.

What you will need:

  • NZ Registration as an Electrician or hold a Limited Certificate as an Electrician from the Electrical Workers Registration Board and at least two years of relevant work experience.
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • An ability to prioritise work and work well under pressure
  • To be well presented, reliable and tidy
  • The right to work in New Zealand
  • The ability to pass our background checks including but not limited to Ministry of Justice Check, Drug and Alcohol Screening and reference checks.


Advance knowledge in the following would be beneficial:

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and plans
  • Motors and Motor Starters
  • Variable Speed Drives
  • PLC Centres and PLC diagrams
  • Refrigeration and control
  • 5yrs plus experience
