AWF are seeking reliable and keen people to join our clients busy aquaculture operation. We have a wide variety of night shift roles in various functions. Prior experience in aquaculture isn't a must and full training will be provided. We have the potential to assist with transport for some of these roles with similar start and finish times.

About the roles

Our client operates and end to end muscle processing operation out of beautiful Havelock. They have vacancies currently for the following roles;

- Graders - This work involves grading mussels for ensuring they're of suitable quality, free from defect and also correcting product where possible. Grading also can involve looking at mussels and removing any units they may be broken or not suitable. This work involves being on your feet for long periods of time

- Packers - As the name suggests Packers are workers who assist with the packing of final products ready for distribution to their final home or storage. The work can also involve other labouring duties such as restocking the production line with vital equipment and cleaning. These are manual roles and so a reasonable amount of physical strength is required, you will need to be able to lift up to 15kg regularly.

- Operators/Cooks - Operators and cooks are responsible for operating the machines that cook the mussels they also operate the automated mussel openers and other machines throughout the factory. A good level of attention to detail is required for these roles.

We have multiple vacancies across each of these roles and as above full training will be provided. All of these roles are temporary and there is the opportunity for them to become permanent for the right people.

We're looking for people who can work as a team to achieve a common result the factory has a diverse range of team members currently and so you'll be expected to be able to work well within a diverse group.

Factory work is repetitive but rewarding and we're looking for people who don't mind doing the same work to a high standard each day.
