AWF are looking for a keen and hard working truck driver that doesn't want to be stuck in the cab doing the same thing every. Rather than just driving from A to B here's your opportunity to get out and get stuck in with a variety of other tasks as well.

The role is a varied one and will involve driving a class 2, and if licensed class 4, truck working in conjunction with the local council.

Your duties will be driving and operating the class 2 truck, moving materials to site, assisting with water checks and repairs, spotting for machine operators, doing toby checks and also labouring.

This role will suit someone who's adaptable as the nature of the job can change depending on local priorities and needs.

It has a duration of at least 3 months and there is potential for this to become permanent for the right person.

The work involves working around the public so the right person for this role will be able to act in a professional manner and be dedicating to seeing our amazing districts incredible people.

So how who are we looking for?

To be successful in this work you'll need to be fit and able to follow instructions of the team around you, prior experience in this type of work isn't essential however, a great attitude is.

In addition to the above you'll need the following to be successful;

- A minimum Full class 2 New Zealand Drivers Licence, Class 4 would be preferred.

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; drugs/alcohol/criminal history

- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it
