You will need to be physically fit as this role will require you to hand unload/load as well use a hand trolley to offload the gas cylinders. As you'll be handling dangerous goods, you need great attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety.
Our national client based in Wiri is looking for Class 2 Drivers to assist with delivery of LPG gas cylinders for homes and businesses across the Auckland area. This position is a permanent opportunity with great benefits working with New Zealand's largest distributor of electricity and gas within the Auckland region.
You must be either a New Zealand Citizen, Resident or on an Open Work Visa to be considered for this role. Applicants only residing in New Zealand will be considered.
About the role:
- Permanent, full time position working Monday-Friday 6am start with occasional weekends. 40 hours minimum
- Assisting with delivery of gas cylinders to residential and commercial properties
- Hand unload/load as well use a hand trolley to offload the gas cylinders
- Must be able to lift between 45 kgs to 90 kgs
- Assisting customers face-to-face answering any questions they may have
- Completing vehicle safety checks
- Organising delivery runs and loading product onto the truck
- Delivering pre-filled LPG cylinders and taking away the empties
- All training provided

To be successful, you will have:
- Full clean Class 2 Drivers licence required, capability of using manual transmission preferred
- At least 6 months Class 2 driving experience with delivering goods
- Be physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy items when doing deliveries
- DG licence and LPG filling experience (or be willing to undergo training)
- A proactive approach and responsibility towards Health and Safety.
