Candidate Consultant

This role will work closely with the Recruitment Consultant to understand the type of skills required in order to build an appropriate candidate pool of temporary workers. They will proactively source candidates in order to build and continually maintain a group of suitable candidates and will work collaboratively with other Candidate Consultants on sourcing projects within their region.

The Candidate Consultant will maintain a regular candidate care programme to ensure that all temporary workers are contacted regularly. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the pool of candidates is thoroughly screened and inducted into AWF and that they clearly understand their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and also what it means to be an AWF temporary employee. The Candidate Consultant will also provide accurate and timely time and attendance information to centralised payroll to ensure that our temps are paid on time and accurately.

Key Accountibility:

  • Pro-actively source candidates in-line with the candidate sourcing strategy
  • Work with the Recruitment Consultant to devise candidate sourcing strategies to meet future client requirements
  • Write and place appropriate advertising to attract new candidates in line with Recruitment Consultants requirements for clients' needs
  • Manage and respond to applications in the workflow referral within 48 hours of receipt of the application ensuring the workflow referral and CRM is updated
  • Register new candidates by undertaking screening and interviews
  • Ensure that all temporary staff documentation is completed accurately and fully, including reference checks, MoJ and drug testing
  • Conduct all necessary probity checks and ensure they are passed on the Recruitment Consultant before being put forward to a client
  • Check qualifications for all skilled temporary staff are verified, recorded and maintained on file
  • Work with Recruitment Consultants to maintain regular communications with temporary employees
  • Manage candidate pool to ensure availability is up to date and regularly communicate candidate availability and suitability to the Recruitment Consultants
  • Manage candidate files for easy reference by Recruitment Consultants
  • Ensure the team has effective recruitment and sourcing strategies in place to meet customer demand
  • Liaise with candidates on assignment regarding pay related matters and changes to personal details
  • Undertake all initial inductions and training
  • Understand the Temporary IEA and any collective employment contracts
  • Follow up outstanding timesheets and work with payroll to process on time
  • Keep all documentation/contracts up to date and filed
  • Maintain an accurate record of all temporary staff information
  • Ensure the company CRM system is maintained to a professional standard and archived as necessary
  • Ensure operating compliance, as specified in company policy and procedure manuals
  • Conduct pre-employment, post-employment, and near miss drug testing
  • Ensure temporary staff skill codes reflect experience and qualifications
  • Ensure temporary employees are informed of their rights and responsibilities within their work environment
  • Ensure all accident & incident reports are filed with ACC Administrator
  • Work with Recruitment Consultants to ensure temporary staff undergo Site Safe, Traffic Control training and any other training to meet Health & Safety standards as required
  • Maintain and actively participate in Health & Safety and ACC standards and protocols as laid out in The Health & Safety Manual
  • Active participation in branch Health & Safety audits as per company policy
  • Skills and Experience:

    • At least 1 years' experience in a high-volume recruitment environment, preferably with a sourcing focus
    • Proven customer-service background
    • Proven administrative background in a large process driven environment
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
    • expertise utilising recruitment systems and other CRM's
