The bulk of the role will be Asphalt Paving renewals work, working for our established clients in the south. However, you will be required to complete alternate pavement tasks from time to time, to help get the job done whilst also upskilling and developing yourself. This is a full-time position that requires some weekend and night work. We have a dedicated forward workload, so if you're looking for a secure opportunity then look no further.

To ensure success as an Asphalt Laborer, you should be physically fit and be able to work long hours in all weather conditions. Asphalt Laborers are often required to work over weekends, on public holidays, and at night.

About the job:

Our ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in asphalt paving
  • Heavy Truck Licence- Class 2/4
  • RTW Tickets
  • Must be a team player, with a positive can-do attitude and strong communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Operate and maintain asphalt plant equipment including rollers, loaders, pavers and dump trucks.
  • Monitor plant operations to ensure production of quality asphalt and other products
  • Schedule production activities to meet customer orders and company requirements
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to plant components to ensure optimal performance
  • Coordinate with other personnel to ensure efficient flow of materials and timely production
  • Maintain records of production, maintenance and other activities
  • Comply with all safety regulations
