Injuries from lifting are usually preventable, and it's the everyday choices – how we lift, whether we ask for help, or if we try to take a shortcut – that can make the biggest difference.
Remember:
Get help if you need it, especially for heavy or awkward lifts
Bend your knees, not your back, when lifting
Use mechanical aids, like trolleys or forklifts, when needed
Take a moment, think things through, and make smart choices.
