Our client is offering a minimum 6 month contract that may well move out to 12 months and beyond. This is a pivotal role in their business, so not every Tom, Dick or Mary is going to be considered. The position is based at Marsden Point (no prizes for guessing who our client is) but what an opportunity to show off your value and talent if successful?

Some (to list a few) of your key accountabilities will be:

Ensuring the equipment and tools are maintained and available in a clean condition fit for the purpose intended

Arranging and/or carrying out the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment when necessary, including calibrations

Equipment and tool Certification

Suitable disposal of failed equipment and tools and the ensuring replacements are purchased and registered as needed.

Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of the tooling and equipment safely and in a timely manner in accordance with the appropriate codes of practices and regulations that may apply

Inventory control

Carry out EWS repairs and testing as needed and organise electrical repairs through the I/E Supervisor as needed

Maintenance of all test equipment to the appropriate certifications

We see this as a position that will suit a person who has a mechanical trade background and previous experience in procurement. You will already have knowledge of the requirements needed to ensure the maintenance of construction tooling and equipment, and your diagnostic and fault finding ability is better than good as will be your attention to detail. You would be PC savvy and have sound knowledge and understanding of computerised inventory and asset management systems. Customer service (internal and external) will be second nature to and a team player but just as capable working alone, while still meet the deadlines knowing full well that the priorities will change depending on demand.
