AWF Nelson have a number of roles available within the timber processing and supply/ production industry

We have sites looking for Workers in both Lower Moutere and Motueka, both sites are Monday to Friday work weeks, Early starts and afternoon/ night shifts available

Early shifts start at 5am until 1:30pm (1x each shifts available in Lower Moutere and Motueka)

Afternoon shifts are 1:15pm to 11:30pm (2x shifts available at Motueka site)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working in the factory alongside machinery, presses, hand tools, power tools and saws to create outstanding wood products.

Tasks may include, but aren't limited to:

• Roles involves fabrication of raw timber products to produce items for housing, decking and landscaping
• Stacking of timber in and out of racking, labelling, checking of wood for imperfections, assisting machine operators and at times (after training) operating the press/ cutting machines
• Factory based indoor role (no down wet weather days)
• Packaging of finished product, placing goods, wrapping, strapping and labelling for dispatch
• Working as part of a production/ manufacturing team

ABOUT YOU

• Have a sound work ethic, enthusiastic approach, reliable and committed to learn the role
• Ability to get to work each day, (public transport doesn't start early enough for these roles)
• An OSH forklift and F endorsement, would be desirable, but not essential
• Able to be trained, follow processes, take direction and replicate tasks
• Happy to learn new techniques bringing your existing skill sets to grow
• A good attitude towards maintenance and care of equipment
• Have references that will tell us what a great worker you are
