Project Manager

Our client is a leading New Zealand industrial automation and engineering company. They design and deliver advanced automation solutions for customers across New Zealand and around the world, helping manufacturers improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation.

Due to an upcoming relocation project, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

The Opportunity

This full-time position is expected to run for approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension. You will play a key role in coordinating and delivering the successful relocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and exit of the current facility
  • Manage packing activities, logistics, and auctioning of surplus items
  • Coordinate the relocation of inventory and stock
  • Oversee and coordinate "make good" requirements at the existing site
  • Coordinate the relocation of machinery and equipment
  • Coordinate the office move and setup at the new location
  • Work with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and transport providers to ensure the project runs smoothly and on time


What We're Looking For

  • Proven project management or coordination experience
  • A hands-on, practical approach with a willingness to get involved
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Experience with relocation, logistics, facilities moves, or similar projects would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
