Our client is seeking a motivated and high energy Factory Manager to take the lead of their small but busy mussel factory in Cloudy Bay industrial estate.

This role will involve you taking charge of approximately 30 factory staff to sort, pack and cook gourmet mussels and clams ready for distribution locally and throughout the world.

The job will see you assisting the current team with training and operational needs as well and solving problems that arise in the factory on a day to day basis. You will be responsible for the factory throughput and ensuring that the product is produced in a timely fashion.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a hands on manager and willing to work shoulder to shoulder with the high performing team to get the job done. If you're expecting to be office bound and not get your hands dirty this probably isn't the role for you.

Our client is a family owned and operated business that is well established through nearly 20 years of delivering excellent products that are recognised globally. They're currently experiencing significant growth leading to this role being created.

The factory is located in Cloudy Bay industrial estate and is small but efficient.

About you

We're looking for someone with experience in a food production environment either a high performing supervisor ready to take the next step or a current production manager looking for a change of environment.

You will be able to engage with a wide range of people from all walks of life and cultures, as is the make up of the factory.
