AWF are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to assist our client who specialises in tractor implements.

The role largely involves assembly, maintenance and repair of new machinery, some welding skills would be highly regarded but not essential. This role also includes repairing used machinery for customers and so is not suitable if you're afraid to get your hands dirty.

Our client is well established and already has an amazing engineering team so you will be working with experienced individuals who are determined to deliver the best possible outcomes for their customers.

About You;

To be successful in this role you will have prior mechanical engineering experience, ideally with some background in farm machinery although this isn't essential.

You will be capable of working as part of a team and also autominously on your own and will be an excellent communicator. You will be professional and have a strong grasp on the english language.

Mostly you will be willing to turn your skilled hands to a multitude of different tasks and have high levels of attention to detail, you will be dedicated to doing a job right the first time and to ensuring that when machinery leaves the workshop it is engineered to a point where it is beyond fit for purpose.

In additon to the above you will also have the following;

- The ability to pass pre-employment checks including drug/alcohol screening and criminal history

- Hold a minimum Restricted New Zealand Drivers License

- Have a current CV with contactable references

- Be eligible to work in New Zealand and have the relevant documentation to prove it.
