Our client is a locally owned company and has run successfully for over 50 years. They are manufacturers of a range of Fibreglass products and distribute both nationally and internationally. They have built a strong reputation in the industry and offer their customers the ability to customise their products to their own needs and specifications.

For the first time in 35 years they are recruiting for an experienced Factory Manager to run their factory operations in Auckland. We are looking for someone with exceptional management experience, excellent communication skills on all levels and someone with experience in factory operations.

What you need:

* At least 3 - 5 years' experience managing a manufacturing factory
* Very strong management skills
* Ability to take charge and manage staff effectively
* Excellent communication skills
* Mechanically / technically minded (understand machinery , equipment and tools used)
* Ability to read and understand drawings from engineers
* Ability to follow company processes and procedures strictly
* Above average administration & computer literacy skills
* Ability to compile and update various reports
* Ability to forecast, work according to and plan budgets
* Ability to effectively manage a team of 30 staff members
* In depth knowledge of factory operations
* In depth knowledge of compliance and health & safety laws and regulations
* In depth knowledge of handling & disposing of chemical waste materials
* Ability to ensure the factory runs optimally at all times (machines running, ensure orders are ready and go out on time, operating safely at all times, forecast productions, pre-purchase materials etc.)
