Assistant Lab Technician

Working on Transmission Gully, your main task will be to assist with operating a drilling machine and compaction hammer to take paving core samples for laboratory research. Then you will help backfill the boreholes. During exceptional weather events, you might be assigned to work at the Asphalt Plant doing general labouring, where there could be the opportunity to learn more specialist skills.

Requirements:

• Be able to drive to site or meet at our Petone or Belmont site at either 6am or 7am
• Physical fitness to operate drilling equipment.
• Good team player/communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Systematic approach
• Serious approach to living up to high H&S standards
