Funeral Director's Assistant

On a daily basis your duties may include:

  • Vehicle maintenance/cleaning
  • Driving services
  • General housekeeping duties
  • General assisstance and family support during funeral services
  • Transfer, preparation, and presentation of deceased persons
  • Trimming of caskets

While previous experience is an advantage, attitude is what will put you ahead of the field. No day is the same and hours will vary, this is not a regular 9-5 job so extra hours may be required from time to time.

The successful candidate will have

  • Full, clean, Class 1 driver's licence
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Excellent personal presentation with pride in yourself and the brand you represent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Some physical fitness as heavy lifting is involved
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • The ability to work as part of a close-knit team while adhering to all workplace health and safety requirements
