We are looking for qualified Fitter Turners located in Auckland looking for long term work. To be successful in the role you will have proven experience with manual lathe and milling machines as well as general machine shop plant. The ability to communicate with sub-contractors, clients and internal tradies effectively is a must and exposure to hydraulics/pneumatics/electrical fault finding is preferrable.

Skills & experience required:

• Ability to interpret drawings and specification to determine sequence of operations and suitable materials

• Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and subassemblies

• Ability to diagnose faults, perform operational maintenance, commission, and maintain plant and equipment

• Cutting, threading bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines

• Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances

• Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools
