We're on the lookout for an experienced mechanical engineer to assist our client who works in the farm machinery sector.

Our client is a leading supplier of high quality tractor implements and they're dedicated to delivering great products and services to their customers.

They have two engineering workshops, new and used machinery, this role focuses mostly around the new machinery side of the business however there is a need to be willing to get stuck into whatever equipment needs fixing.

About the role;

The role consists of multiple engineering tasks including assembly of machinery, fabricating machinery and repairs and maintenance. There is a lot of brain power required to ensure that the job is done right and meets the customers needs, this isn't a one size fits all business.

This role is temporary however theere is a permanent opportunity for the right person.

About you;

To be successful in this role you will have prior experience in mechanical engineering, this doesn't have to be in the farm machinery industry although prior experience in farming would be an advantage. You will be mechanically minded and able to turn your hand at a number of different duties, you won't mind getting dirty and be able to cut and weld steel.

This is a team environment and you will need to be able to work both on your own and as part of a team to get the job done.

in addition to this you will have the following;

- A full New Zealand drivers license, forklift license would be an advantage

- The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it

- Be able to pass pre-employment checks including criminal history and drug screening

- a great attitude

- physically capable of lifting upto 25kgs, this machinery is heavy
