We are seeking an experienced Hard Landscaper to join a reputable and growing landscaping business delivering high-quality projects across the Nelson Tasman region. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a confident tradesperson who can lead from the front and take ownership of site delivery.
Roles Available:
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Timber structures and outdoor builds
- Paving and hard landscaping finishes
- Concreting and formwork
- Retaining walls
- Foreman or site leadership responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading and working alongside a landscaping crew on residential and commercial projects
- Reading plans, setting out jobs, and managing daily site activities
- Carrying out high-quality hard landscaping work
- Operating machinery, including diggers (where experienced)
- Managing materials, tools, and site logistics
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are being met on site and all required H&S documentation is completed accurately
- Ensuring jobs are completed on time and to specification
- Communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and management
What You Need:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in hard landscaping or a specialised area (timber, paving, concreting, or retaining walls)
- Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
- Class 2 Driver Licence (advantageous)
- Digger / excavator operating experience (advantageous)
- Proven ability to lead a crew and manage sites
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, self-motivated, and safety focused
