Are you an experienced trade qualified Fitter Turner looking for a change? Had previous experience with valve maintenance and repairs? Have you got above average machining skills using standard workshop machining tools? Understand the ins and outs of metallurgy that comes with valve construction?

The position is based at Marsden Point and is a contracted position initially for 6-12 months with a possibility of extending out further. It is expected you will be a trade qualified Fitter Turner (or similar) with previous valve maintenance experience.
The successful person will be capable of, but not limited to:
Performing routine and preventative maintenance on control valves in a timely and efficient way
Carrying out scheduled mechanical testing and inspections and diagnostics
Pro-actively monitoring equipment, plant and systems
Workshop machining valves to required specification(s) with attention to detail and quality
Participating in diagnosing, assessment and repair of equipment failures working towards eradicating the cause
A solid team player but able to work on your own and still make the deadlines
Computer literate with knowledge and experience with computerize maintenance management systems
Because of your background, you already know that changes to the planned schedule(s) is inevitable as priorities fluctuate, but you take it in your stride and still get the job done on time, because you're very much customer focused and great communicator, ensuring everyone's on the same page.
