We're recruiting a dependable Class 4 Driver to join a well-established operation supporting essential gas supply and distribution services across the Waikato. Based in the Matamata-Waharoa area, this dual-role position offers a balanced mix of yard-based work and regional deliveries with steady weekday hours. A Class 5 licence is a bonus, and forklift experience is essential.
Class 4 Driver / Yardperson (Class 5 is a Bonus)
* Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work
* Matamata-Waharoa based
* Waikato-wide deliveries, with the furthest run being Te Kuiti
* Approximately 50% yard work and 50% driving
What You'll Be Doing:
Operating Class 4 trucks for scheduled deliveries across the Waikato region
Completing safe and timely deliveries of gas products to customers and sites
Loading and unloading cylinders and products using a forklift
Yard duties including stock handling, organisation, and general housekeeping
Assisting with vehicle loading, dispatch preparation, and stock movements
Completing pre-start checks, logbooks, and basic vehicle inspections
Following all safety procedures, site rules, and reporting requirements
What You Need:
Full, valid Class 4 licence (Class 5 licence is an advantage)
Current forklift licence with practical experience
Proven driving experience with contactable references
Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on yard work
Strong reliability, work ethic, and safety-first mindset
Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays if required
Clean criminal history
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Clear communication skills and a professional attitude
