We at AWF Nelson have well known clients in the Building and construction sector looking for Hammer hands/ Builders Labourers

There are a number of different roles available

Frame and Truss builders (Richmond Based)

• Monday to Friday work 0600-1600
• Using power tools, saws, nail guns to build frames from a blue print/ plan
• Full training provided,
• Have ability to do some medium to heavy manual handling
• Able to follow written and oral instructions
• Strong commimment to Health and Safety
• Work in a team enviroment
• Possible temp to perm role (for the right persons)
• Full PPE provided

Class Foundations builders labourer (Annesbrook Based)

• Entry level position
• Ability to follow instructions
• Physically fit and able to do manual handling
• Monday to Friday Work Week 0700-1700
• Great entry level job for a person looking for a foot in the door in construction
• Strong commimment to Health and Safety
• Able to do basic digging, assisting senior staff with framing and basic construction tasks
• Full PPE provided

Demo/ cool store repair (Stoke Based)

• Monday to Friday Work 0730-1630
• 2.5 month assignment
• Can work well in a small team and follow written and verbal instructions
• stripping walls and cavity
• replacing with new product
• Strong commitment to Health and Safety
• Have some exp with small hand and power tools a big bonus
• Full PPE provided

What our employers are looking for:

• Physically fit and injury free team members
• Previous work in the construction sector would be ideal, but a want to work in construction and learn from experienced people is what our clients want!!!
• Keen attitude, reliable, good communicator and physically able to do light to medium/ Heavy manual handling
• People that can follow directive, be consistant and reliable work a full week each week!!
• These roles are medium to long term
• As the work is an immediate start, you will need to already be eligible to work in New Zealand.

About You:

• Have reliable transport
• Available for Monday to Friday
• Can work well in a small team and take direction from supervisors
• Reliable, committed with previous building or construction exp would be preferred
• Can complete Manual handling tasks as required
• Has a passion and desire to upskill and learn from industry professionals
• Always has a smile and positive outlook on life.
• People who want, Ongoing long term roles
