We are seeking an LBP‑certified Residential Builder with strong traditional building skills to join a well‑established residential project on Waiheke Island. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled tradesperson with extensive timber and wood‑based construction experience to work on quality residential builds, with accommodation provided on the island or daily ferry travel fully covered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Completing residential builds using traditional construction methods
- Working extensively with timber and wood‑based building systems
- Delivering high‑quality workmanship across framing, cladding, and interior finishes
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications accurately
- Ensuring all work complies with NZ Building Code and LBP requirements
- Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality, and site presentation
What You Need:
- Current LBP certification (essential)
- Proven residential building experience with a traditional skillset
- Strong background in timber / wood‑based construction
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of build outcomes
- Willingness to live on Waiheke Island (accommodation provided) or commute daily with ferry costs covered
- Full NZ driver licence preferred
