Loader Operator - 24 ton, articulated - Nights

The job

This is an exciting opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills on a wheeled loader and getting involved with a new phase of Wellington's roading infrastructure.

The successful candidate will learn to operate large 24t loaders and handle aggregates, intended for use on a major roading project.

Flexibility is a must, as the successful candidate will be required to work night shifts for a few months, and if there's no night shift for a period be willing to assist plant operators during the day, or work in another crew untill night shift resumes. Night shift hours are typically between 8:00pm - 4:00AM, whilst day shift hours are typically 7:00am - 4:00pm.

You will use your good people skills to build genuine and lasting relationships with our customers, and their people.

Experience and attributes;

. Minimum Class 2 license with W endorsement.

. The ideal candidate has prior experience operating articulated heavy machinery

. Strong mechanical or technical aptitude.

. Good attitude toward the maintenance and care of machinery.

. An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match.

. Be a team player with an excellent work ethic.

. Strong desire to advance existing skillset.

. Flexible and willing to work night shifts.

. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

. Be self-motivated & driven to succeed.
